2,500 Miles, 2,500 Trees to go!

Whew, what a couple of weeks! Between Rob Greenfield’s amazing offer to sponsor the project with his nonprofit Happy, Healthy and Free and the subsequent announcement of the launch of Green Footprints, there’s been a lot of preparations in the works!

Thanks to the Saratoga Springs Tree Nursery, we’ve now go 350 little Blue Spruce seedlings ready to be planted throughout some of the Northeast states. First on the docket will be New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut, which I hope to plant and run in the first month. Turtle is as good to go as it ever will be, and any problems that crop up with the tired old van will have to be dealt with on the road as we progress.

Thanks to everyone who has helped make Green Footprints a reality! The feedback so far has been overwhelming, and I am excited to share this journey with anyone and everyone who wants to get involved. If you haven’t already be sure to follow along on Facebook and Instagram as we get started next week! And be sure to donate— every $1 plants a tree!
